Re: To write 6/8 time in 2 different ways
Message:José Oscar,To get three 8ths beamed together in 6/8 time, define the time as two dotted quarters. To break the beaming pattern in one specific measure, in one specific staff, use the Speedy Entry Tool. Place the crosshair on the rightmost 8th, and hit the / key. If all the staves of that measure should have the same, special beaming pattern, it might be easier to change the time signature for that measure. To get the six 8ths beamed e. g. as [3 + 2 + 1], define the composite time signature as 3+2+1/8. You might also like to set the display time signature to 6/8: In the Time Signature dialog box click the button "More Choices". Peter
