Message:
So I have read all about how to put the dummy notes in and what not, but how do you have multimeasure rests with chords? Say I'm writing a funk chart and there are 4 or 8 bar sections on some parts where I need one chord for those 8 bars but otherwise the instrument is resting. (I need the chord for the form for solos) The rules defeat each other, the measures must be empty for multi rests, but they must have something for a chord. Is there a way around this. Thanks
