Translating sounding music (.wav files and .aif files) to music notation is still a too complicated task for computers. Only the human brain can do that.

An exception is Finale's MicNotator that can take music dictation if you play the parts one by one (not several pitches sounding simultaneously). But manual input with the Speedy Entry Tool might be just as fast (if not faster, in case there are many whole notes in the part).

If your music is recorded as a MIDI file, you are in a much better position. Finale can import MIDI files and transcribe them directly.

You can also go the other way and export an existing Finale document as a MIDI file.
