Re: Out of control measure lengths!
Message: Dave! I do have a solution for your problem not a permanent though. After you have finished adding measures there are two ways of setting the number of measures in a line. 1. When in Scroll View press the Mass Mover tool and then Ctrl+A to select all measures that exist at that time and then as they are selected (black) press Ctrl+E to change to page view. Normally everything will still be selected (black). Then while in Page View with everything selected press Ctrl+M and you will see a window prompts you to select the number of measures per system. 2. While in Page View this time press the Page Layout Tool and on the drop down menu on top you will find the option Group Measures (I use Finale 2000 and its the 5th selection of the drop menu. This affects the entire work and if for a reason you want to have more or less measures on a line you have to go to the first way by selecting Mass Mover tool and select the measures you want to Fit in a line and Ctrl+M. Further more if you like your new documents to have more or less measures you have to create a document the way u want it and save it as to be the "Default.FTM" by replacing the old default document you already have. P.S for all the sortcuts i used (e.a. Ctrl+M) there are equivelant commands from the drop down menus of each tool.
