Message:
We have been using finale for approximately a year. Lately we have been having trouble in writing a score from a MIDI keyboard using the hyperscribe mode which we did not encounter previously. When some quarter notes are hit, a double note (as in a two note chord) appears, even with careful playing with not slurring between individual quarternotes. We fixed the problem temporarily by changing the parameters so that shortest not registered is a quarternote and played the piece in staccato, but we prefer not to have to play everything in staccato when composing as this alters the whole sound of the piece to one's ear. Anybody know what problem may be occurring and how to fix it?
