Re: how do I open a finale 2002 file in finale 2000
Message:Can't do it. For some reason, Coda has yet to create software that will save files in older file formats. I've got Finale 2003, and routinely send files to friends who used NotePad. Currently, NotePad (which is version 2002) cannot open my files.Well, there is one way, but it's ugly. You can save your document in MIDI format and then open it in any Coda product that reads MIDI, no matter the version. Unfortunately, major parts of your document (formatting, lyrics, expressions, etc.) are not part of the MIDI formatting, so they will be missing. Does anyone else know of any 3rd party solutions?
