Adding measures to end of score

Message:How do you add measures to the end of a score? Situation:Score was created using a string quartet template. Each stave has 5 measures. Last page has one complete stave set but the second stave set on this last page only has 1 measure and it is as long as the other staves that contain 5 measures. When I attempt to add measures to the end they are added with the same likeness of the last measure (extra long). Resizing of the extra long measure does not work. Deleting the stave with the extra long measure and then attempting to add measures after has the same result: new measures are added as extra long. Is there a bug with orchestral templates? Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance.
