Re: half-note Tuplet problems
Message:This seems to work OK on my machine. Why not try the shorthand tuplet entry method: in Speedy Entry, press CTRL+3 before entering any notes (a small “3” appears in the top right-hand corner of the editing frame), then enter your three minims [half-notes]; Finale should then treat them as triplets. If you want to enter several consecutive sets triplets, you have to repeat the CTRL+3 before each one as it is cancelled once the triplet is “full up”. You can also use the CTRL+digit shorthand for other kinds of tuplet: . . . . CTRL+2 produces duplets (2 notes in the time of 3), . . . . CTRL+4 produces quadruplets (4 in the time of 3), . . . . CTRL+5 produces quintolets (5 in the time of 4), . . . . CTRL+6 produces sextolets (6 in the time of 4), . . . . CTRL+7 produces septolets (7 in the time of 4) etc. Larry Simons London, U.K.
