Message:Daniel,if you are into popular / film music, I heartly recommend "Sounds and Scores" by Henry Mancini. A great book for its field. I learned a lot of it. For more classical purposes, I recommend the Orchestration book by Hector Berlioz, revised by Richard Strauss. From time to time, this question occured in rec.music.compose or rec.music.theory, so a little research on DejaNews might be helpful. Greetings, Harald
