Dear Seasoned Finale Users:I've just started using Finale 2000 to write/transcribe guitar music. I'm interested in having available a fairly comprehensive set of high quality guitar articulations. For example, it would be nice to have a set that implemented all of the symbols on the transcription legend in an issue of Guitar One magazine or a Hal Leonard songbook. Being a Finale newbie, I'm not *completely* certain that such an articulation library would save me time, but I thought I'd ask. Yes, I have done the tutorials - and some preliminary transcriptions.
I know that Finale includes some stringed instrument articulations, but others, such as a held bend, need to be created manually. It sure would be nice to have them all pre-defined. I'm guessing that for at least a few of these articulations, a significant amount of work might be necessary in order to achieve a clean look worthy of other Finale output. Besides, I need the time to tune my guitar! ;-)
Since it's possible in Finale to create custom shapes and articulations, I was wondering if any of you industrious Finale users might wish to share/sell any shape or articulation libraries that you might have created or know where to find. Perhaps we could combine our efforts.
Or maybe I'm completely off base, because professional-looking articulations are so easy to create such that any library is made unnecessary. Thoughts?
Thanks.
