I have upgraded MIDISCAN recently because it seems to be a significant improvement in overall utility and accuracy in scanning. I am trying to scan old dot matirx output of piano compositions created by EZSCORE on the ATARI ST. The idea is to get the poor quality print into Finale for high quality EPS output using a 1200 dpi laser. I can get credible accurach in the scanning of the old output using an Epson 1200c scanner. I've had minimum problems in this regard. When the MIDISCAN *.mnd file is imported into Finale 2000b, the staff fills the page. I've tried various reformating or setup options to get the page arranged so I can enter the title, etc. but no luck so far. Furthermore, it has not been possible to use the new or template forms to achieve an import with satisfactory positioning of the staves.

Has anyone else developed a template or method to import MIDISCAN into Finale with a "proper" page setup? Looking for advice because this topic is not covered in the online 2000b documentation.
