Message:
I am writing a section of a choral piece where there is a short bass solo singing while the rest of the choir (including the rest of the bass section) is singing a background figure... Obviously, I now have two voices in the bass staff...

how can I notate the SOLO lyrics above the staff and the background lyrics below the staff?

The solo is only two bars, so I would really like to keep it on the staff (as opposed to adding a staff for "Bass Solo").

On a related note, any suggestions for the best font for lyrics?

thanks,
chris.
