Warren,I had a similar problem using F97: the music spacing command would send my grace notes hither and yon. Two suggestions: add grace notes as the last item, i.e. do all the layout/format so things won't be moving. Also, as you indicated that the grace notes can't get close enough, check Document Settings>Music Options> grace note distances.It may be that it is set so they can't be moved any closer; you can redifine the distance, and that may solve your problem.One last note. I contacted Coda regarding this issue of the moving grace notes, and Coda informed me that it is, indeed, a bug. Whether it still is in 98 or 2000+, I don't know - but it has been an issue in the past.Good luck.R. PearlLoyola College
