Finale is a notation software program with somwhat limited sequencing abilities. Cubase is a sequencing program with limited notation abilities. Band in a box is move a practice play a long program. (thats how I've ALWAYS seen it used anyhow) You can however save a cool band in the box song as a midi file and open it in finale an edit from there. I've never used Cubase but would love too. They all have their places on oyur hard drive but none of them can do it all. It would be great to oun all of them!!!!
Hope this helps a little
