I just got back from a trip to the Texas Bandmasters' Association Convention in San Antonio, and I thought I'd let the 6 people who use this board know that at Coda's booth was a Beta version of Finale 2002! The rep there said that it was coming out in about three weeks. The new pitch is that it's more geared toward educators than past editions. I didn't get many details, but apparently it features an "exercise wizard" to help directors create exercises for bands, or something along those lines. I might be totally off on that--it was really very vague, and I didn't have time to interrogate the guy as much as I wanted to. ;-)Anyway, just thought I'd pass along the info!
