Hello All,I'm running into a problem formatting a large book. The client keeps changing his mind. I started this huge project for a church a couple of years ago. I made all the works from Finale 2 part with piano templates. I set all the works to end as the page turns, and they are all separate documents, of course.
Now the client complains that the book is much too large for elderly choir members to hold. It is over 325 pages. And the keyboard player says she is constantly turning pages in this new book. I set the documents at 80%, with 2 systems per page- SA in the treble clef, TB in the bass clef, and a gran staff. Tons of score expressions. I used the staff and lyric tool to expand the systems for a printing company to put in lyrics in original Hebrew underneath my phonetically spelled lyrics.
Now I have another challenge- eliminate the gran staff and re-write the SA and TB parts to include all harmonic motion so the keyboard player can just read the two part and the pieces remain their integrity and total harmonic motion. When I do this, there is much wasted space on the last page of many of the pieces.
My question is this:
Does Finale have a function on book formatting or do I have to split up documents? In other words, if a piece ends and there is 2/3 of a page empty before the page turn, do I have to make a few new measures, a title, indent, copy and paste over from another document and then format the next piece to start where the other document left off?
