Re: Re: Re: Fretboard Diagrams
Message:Sly,You don't tell what version of Finale you are using. In Finale 2001 you can create custom fretboard diagrams like this: 1. Chord Tool. 2. Chord menu > Show Fretboards 3. Chord menu > Manual Input 4. Click the note that should have a fretboard diagram. The Chord Definition dialog box appears. 5. Enter the chord name in the first text field. Or click "Show Advanced" to select a complex chord suffix. 6. When the chord is determined, the Fretboard pane displays a suggestion for a fretboard diagram. Click "Select...". The Fretboard Selection dialog box appears. 7. If the fretboard you want is displayed in the dialog box, double-click it to return to the Chord Definition. If not, click "Create...". The Fretboard Editor appears. This dialog box is quite selfexplanatory. Read the documentation for details. If you use an older version of Finale, you don't have the Fretboard Editor. In this case you have a fretboard font called Seville. Most of the characters in Seville are standard freetboard diagrams. But there is also an empty fretboard diagram that you can use to build a custom fretboard diagram. I suggest that you crate the fretboard diagram as a shape expression, since the Shape Designer allows you to combine font characters from several fonts, and to position these font characters freely.
