Title: Chant text and time signatures

Message:
What is a good way to enter long phrases of text that occur on one note of chant? I have been using the "word (alt-0160) word (alt-0160)" method, but it is rather tedious. Is there a better way?

Also, is there a way to do away with time signatures all together, as each measure has a different number of beats in it? It again becomes tedious to have to change and hide the time sig. for every measure.

Thanks in advance for any help.

EB
