okay, thanks art ritchie for the info on my last post. unfortunetly i don't understand a thing about computers, with the exeption of my fianle program. i deleted all saved song files from my hard drive and moved them to a zip disk. my problem was not space related, as i have more than enough space left on my c drive. art ritchie mentioned temporary files. are those like back-up files? well i got rid of those too. it did not speed up finale at all so i uninstalled and reinstalled the entire program. but yet again, this did not work. everything moves so slow. please help. i am running finale 2001b on windows ME. 128 mb of ram with 63% free (?). whatever that means. please send me any suggestions. thanks! ~ matt
