Message:I have dealt with this problem by writing the score in a document that has one staff for every part that I want to extract (i.e., horns 1, 2, 3 & 4 on 4 spearate staves). I can then extract the parts so they look right for the players. If I have to make corrections/edits after the first run through, I make them in the score and re-extract the parts as needed. After I know that everything is correct, I make a copy of the full score and use the implode and/or copy/paste features to create a conductor's score that has parts combined, i.e., horns 1 & 2 on 1 staff and horns 3 & 4 on another. It isn't the most elegant solution, but it works pretty well once you get used to it.
