Message:I just use articulations for sticking. Pick the articulation tool, and click on the note for which you want to indicate sticking. When the articulation dialogue box comes up, click on the create button on the left. Click on "set font"-- pick whatever you want, but I usually use arial because it is simple and easy to read. Pick a font size (I use 14-16), then click 'ok.' Then click the "main symbol" button and go through the font list and pick the capital 'R'. I usually click "always below note" for the position, then "always avoid staff lines" and "always place outside of staff". You'll also want to set the vertical position to about .25 so that the letter doesn't overlap your note. Now you should've created an articulation for 'R' sticking. Just repeat for 'L.' If anyone knows an easier way to do this, I'd love to hear it.
