Message:Update! I still need help with setting up SoundFont with Finale 2002. I'm trying to get some percussion parts finished by Saturday morning. I've just went out and purchased a Sound blaster Audigy sound card with "SoundFont"...I've downloaded "marchperc.sf2" with all of the Drum Corps percussion sounds that I need (thanks to Paul Johnston's web site)........but........ when I go into finale 2002, I'm still hearing the old drum sounds. And, after I've tried to change settings, I've lost all sound in Finale. Yes, I have uninstalled the old sound drivers/card. In soundfont, there is a keyboard icon with banks, and empty banks, and a bunch of banks using bank 010. I've tried to create a new percussion map in finale and it appears that everything is going well but Its just not working. The keyboard in the soundfont program even gives me the keys/midi notes where the sounds are (i.e. for snare, key 6F and midi note F6 go together). Believe me, I'm very computer/percussion literate, but for some reason I'm having a heck of a time with this and I REALLY NEED YOUR ANSWERS AND SUGGESTIONS PLEASE! Or, if somebody could possibly walk me step by step through this I would soooooooo appreciate it.
Other questions I have , could there be anything I'm missing in the "instrument list" box or "midi setup" box on finale? Or am I just not setting up Audio HQ/ SoundFont/keyboard right? After loading marchperc.sf2 into soundfont, is there anything you have to do in the "configure instrument" tab??????anyway, Please contact me ASAP if anyone has ANY info
