Assuming the OS on both platforms is relatively current, ETF files have not been needed for cross-platform conversion since Finale 3x or so. I agree with Peter: on the Mac, add .mus to the file before transfering and be careful when emailing (better to transfer on a floppy, Zip or CD). And remember, as Sam pointed out, that the older Mac version will not be able to open the newer PC version of Finale no matter what you do.
