Message:I've created a lead sheet in Finale 2002, leaving the measures without vocal empty. When I go to Extract Parts, the multimeasure rests are not coming out. I've got a 7-measure rest at the beginning of the tune, but at measures 28 through 48, where the measures are empty, they're printing out with single-measure rests, not the multi-measure rest. Same as 71-90. There are no double-bars within these groups of measures, so I can't see why the multi-measure rests don't work. How do I fix this? On one hand, I'd like to find out how to force the multi-measure rests, but on the other hand, why aren't they showing up in the first place? For more information, I've set this page up with the New Document Set-up Wizard. I've used only the vocal part in the Wizard, and when I extract the parts(part), the title showing the "instrument" (Vocals), it defaults to using "Jazz" as the font, which is the font used for the music. Why isn't this coming up as "Jazz Text" for the text? The title of the tune is fine, it's just the part name that's the problem. How do I default this to work correctly?
