I wonder about the essential kernel/engine for scanning in 2002. It says "Midiscan", an older product we all know to be buggy as roses in July. I separately use SmartScore, the *all-new* version of Midiscan - they were so humiliated, the changed the name! Answer - it all depends. I have excellent piano skills, so playing in carefully allows me less errors. Sometimes, you just have to eyeball the original, know your own skills and frustration level, and give it a try. I have NOT used the scanning built-in to 2002 - because I already own a product I know to be superior, so why risk it? Haven't had enough opportunity to compare yet - will let you know.
