12/8 time and unwanted rests.

Message:Has anyone else had this peculiar problem in 12/8 time. Finale sometimes fills in unwanted 8th note rests where ever there is an incomplete measure. Sometimes it does - sometimes it does not. As far as I can tell, it only happens in 12/8.
A Royal pain, since if you are doing stripped "cue" scores the page becomes quickly cluttered. I am wasting far too much time typing "o's" to make them invisable.
Any thoughts? Thanks.
