I think this is fairly easy to answer, PCL is Hewlet Packards own Printer Control Language (PCL) which is supported by many Laser printers. It is not however a postscript language. You should print using the driver supplied by the manufacturer

When you select compile postscript listing it does just that, compiles a listing in file format that will drive a postscript printer, to do that you must have a postscript driver selected as your current driver.

If you need to compile a listing you can download the latest driver from www.adobe. com

If you are using postscript on a PC you will also need to buy a copy of Adobe Type manager.
