Message:Did you ever get an answer to your problem?I just came across this same problem last night, while helping friends set up Finale 2001 on their G4, interfaced to their keyboard via a MOTU FastLane (USB) using OMS 2.38 with a FreeMIDI 1.44 USB driver. Like you, we could only get a Finale file to playback one time. On further investigation, I found that after playing one time (either through to the end or stopped by user), Finale lost its OMS channels configuration. After searching the Coda/MOTU/Opcode tech pages, I searched the web for hints about this problem - and found only your unanswered question. [The fact that your question remains unanswered after six months compounds my disappointment with Coda Music.] But we pressed on. Apparently OMS and FreeMIDI were losing communication after OMS passed control to the FreeMIDI driver for the (first) playback. That led to looking at the OMS Setup, which had a box "Run MIDI in background". That appeared to offer continued OMS control even after passing the playback to the FreeMIDI driver -- and that turned out to be the case. Checking that box fixed the problem. -- HTH, John Kaufmann
