Message:
I suspect I've been caught in a change introduced by Coda. Up through version 2000 (on either Mac or Windows), users of my older 3rd party music font got nice looking 16th notes by having the following settings under OPTIONS - DOCUMENT SETTINGS - MUSIC CHARACTERS: "1st Upstem & downstem flag", "2nd upstem & downstem flag" set to the appropriate locations in the font. With the later versions of Finale two additional settings had to be made: "16th note upstem & downstem flag" had to be set to 0 (i.e. zero) instead of to the now default locations of 114 and 82 which held pre-built 16th note flags in PETRUCCI.
But a customer of my font who has the latest version of Finale tells me that these settings are now different and they are having trouble getting 16th note flags to display properly -- they are getting obviously incorrect font elements perched onto the stems.
Until I get my own upgrade and can delve into this with the new manual, what do I tell my customer? Surely it's simply a matter of changing the Finale settings for flags somewhere?
