Message:It would *really* be a big help to have a feature that would automatically create sustain pedal markings like |__/\_/\__| (i.e. not Ped. and *), where you could simply click a note or specify a position in the measure to place a pedal down, lift, or release. I looked in the help file of Finale 97, and it said you had to create the shapes yourself and place each one manually. That was a real pain, both creating the shapes just right and aligning every single one using the dialog box. With such a costly program, it really ought to be much easier than that.
