It would be great if you could hide one or more layers (i.e. have
them playback without showing up on the display or printout) while displaying other layers. I know you can hide a whole staff but in this case I'd like to keep sample control information in a separate layer that is "heard but not seen". This is especially valuable if you are activating a sample (like a roll) where the way the note should look is quite different than what is necessary to activate the "roll" sample.
