The much older CODA product "Music Prose" had a provision to hide bar lines however in the new and "improved" Finale Allegro '98 this helpful option was removed. Why was this so-called improvement made? It wasn't broken, so why was it fixed?
The ability to hide bar lines and meter signatures is very helpful, especially in certain types of chant and older western style music which did not yet use such things.
