Dear Max,

I am sorry to hear that you are disappointed to discover that Finale 2001 does not have drumset pictographs. If you'd like to e-mail me a description of what a drumset pictograph is, and how you'd like to see it implemented in future versions of Finale, I'd be glad to pass that on to our developers. If you feel that any of our promotional materials lead you to believe that Finale 2001 included drumset pictographs, I'd certainly like to rectify that problem as well. Allow me to address your various concerns:

I know that a e-mail response was sent to you on Friday. Please let me know if you did not receive it. I did not find any additional unanswered emails from you in the WinSupport in-box. If any questions remain unanswered, feel free to send them to me and I will see that they do get answered. Typically emails are answered in a day or two; less when we're not busy a little longer when we're real busy.
<>
I'd be curious to know when this occurred. A 45 minute wait is HIGHLY unusual, and I can't imagine a scenario where someone would pick up the phone only to tell you someone would call you back. Last week was VERY busy, but for some perspective, the average Windows call was answered in 5:04: the Mac calls in less.
<>
It does come with a 192 page printed installation and tutorial guide. The only scenario I can imagine in which you didn't receive this would be if you upgraded from Finale 2000 (which included a VERY similar manual). If you'd like the 2001 version as well, our customer service staff (800-843-2066) will be glad to send it to you free of charge (well, they might nick you for shipping).
<>
Please feel free to let us know what you are unable to find with the electronic Users Manual. I find that using Ctrl-f in the Index to be very quick.

If you'd like telephone tech support you do need to contact tech support directly and not leave messages with different departments of the company. I do know that customer service asked technical support if they had responded to your e-mail, and that tech support responded that they had e-mailed you Friday afternoon.
Finally, and I hope to make this clear, Coda does not monitor the forums on this site. A Finale supporter brought your particular post to my attention, but I want to make it clear that if ANYONE has any issues with Coda they'd like to resolve, the best approach would be to let Coda know about such concerns, and posting them on this site will NOT do that.

We offer very similar forums on our web site (www.codamusic.com) which are open to the public. We also provide public forums on CompuServe. You can also reach our technical support department via e-mail, phone, fax, and post.

Please note the message I've copied below which I have just sent to the web master of this site. If anyone would like to comment on this further with me, feel free to e-mail me directly as I will not lurk on this forum anymore. It may be that there is some merit (which I frankly don't appreciate) in participating in a forum about a specific piece of software without input from the creators of that software, and to that interest I will disappear and return you to your regularly scheduled program.

Sincerely,
