Hello I already post this direct to Coda

I am a Finale user since February 1996

1.
It would be very great if Finale could join several individual Music-pieces into one document.

As a musical composer I have to produce different kind of musicprinting as Songbooks with only singvoice, Sonbooks with piano, orchestral score (for Band or for full Orchestra) and instruments-parts.
It is always necessary to combine several musicpieces into one book.
Songbooks or scores contain about ten to thirty music-pieces.
But books for instrumental parts contain about fifty to three hundred or more music-pieces. (Itīs no joke: for example the book for the instruments parts of my musical "Peter Pan" consist of 285 finale documents)
One of many Examples: to number the pages of such a book you have to "offset" the page number of 284 documents.

An other reason is the ability to distribute the music over the web.
There are many ways to combine several finale documents (for example it is easy to convert several Finale documents as one PDF document) but it becomes a very big file which is absolutely not to compare with Finale file. Finale files are since finale 2000 pretty small and since the Finale viewer allows anybody to perfectly see or to perfectly print Finale document it is quite easy to distribute Finale files over the web. But it is not practicable to handle with a few hundred files just for one book.
So It would be very great for the customer to download only one file instead of ten or one hundred or three hundred files.

2.
Finale should avoid overlapping of accidentals who are in differents layers.
It is really too much handwork to correct overlapping of accidentals within polyphon music using several layers.

3.
Some more little Layout features for text as : tabulator (right and left) could complete the possibility to create contents table within a finale document

4.
It is often necessary to change the distance from the upper staff of a page to the top of the page to avoid conflicts with pagenumber for example. In some way the upper staff of a page needs extra option like the first staff of the document already has.

Best regards
