thats could not happen... All programs released on the linux platform are required to be open source. Individual programmers and some small companies don't abide by that, but a large corporation like Coda, would get eaten alive if they didn't provide source code. The coda engine is unlike anyother I have seen, and it is for this reason that they keep their code confidential.
