Re: Sol-Fa Input plug-in

When typesetting music from renaissance partbooks, it would be helpful if typing D, R, M, F, S, L, T, would automatically place those letters on the Do, Re, Mi etc., of whatever given key we have preset the document. My take on the original post was striking the letter keys on the QWERTY keyboard. ...

… to see the letters in the noteheads, you have to enlarge the view so much. Indeed. I suspect that the OP (= Chatt88) did not mean “letters in the noteheads”, but rather letters outside the noteheads. Unfortunately adding the letters is a separate step; you do not get them “automatically”. You cou...

There is the Double/Split Stem tool, but I couldn't figure out the "split" part.
Rather than “split” it is sometimes called splayed stemming.

I'm not sure why he or she is having a problem, then. If I understand Misco correctly, the problem is not with the 8th note beam (the primary beam), but rather with the 16th note broken beam (the secondary beam), or the “beam stub” as I called it. Misco needs this particular broken beam (and only t...

Re: composite time signature/multimeasure rests

Two ideas: 1) Change the time signature to 10/8 (change all durations by 50 %). Use a “display time signature” of 10/8, and make the “real time signature” 4+4+2 (five characters in one field) over 8 (This change is not very time consuming if you know, what to do) In this way you do not need the dash...
