Re: Is there a better way to handle enharmonic re-writing?
… Finale's method of mapping ALL B#s to C … It is not that simple. Finale’s accidental spelling can be - Default Spelling - Favor Sharps - Favor Flats - Use Spelling Tables (and you can edit the Spelling Tables) Finale does not understand ‘intelligent respelling’, but … - you can Respell with a spe...

Re: multimeasures resetting despite edits
My first guess: Document Options - Multimeasure Rests De-select the option Update Automatically What it does: During the initial phase when you enter music (probably from Scroll View), the option {Update Automatically} will break a multimeasure rest as you enter music into the empty measure(s). At t...

I set up the Jazz notation font for chord suffixes (BEFORE adding any chords) … If I understand you correctly, you are talking about Document Options > Fonts > Chord > Suffix* - right? Note the * after the word Suffix. The * means that a font change will only affect suffixes created after font chan...

Re: Staff Labels lost
According to your forum user Profile you are using Finale v26 - right? As Bill Stevens points out, a possible culprit could be the Staff Attributes (in the Staff Tool). Staff Attributes work “horizontally”, through all the measures in that staff. (Consider using the plug-in Global Staff Attributes) ...

Re: Chord Symbols
* Are you using Capo Chords ?
Try with E## - my guess is that Finale will change E## to F#.
Explanation:
The culprit is
Chord menu > Simplify Spelling
Finale will always try to simplify "one" level, so if you want to enter (Cb), you can input it as (Dbbb), and your (Cb) will be there.

Re: Finale 27.4.1 doesn't keep changes to default page
I think I figured out my problem. The default file that I was saving was named "Maestro Font Default.musx. That was for older versions and I was wrong in naming it that. It should have named it "Finale Maestro Font Default.musx". John Take a look in Preferences - New Is any Finale document specifie...

Re: Same clef multiple times within one measure
Welcome to the forum! Since everything is in the Bass Clef, there - strictly speaking - is no need for {clef change} clefs. To me it looks like the “extra clefs” serve the purpose of showing, what notes are sung by Figaro, and what notes are sung by Bartolo. One way to do it: In a Finale document yo...

Unfortunately your attached graphic has a very low resolution - it is barely readable (at least for me, using the Opera browser).
If you could attach it again - with a higher resolution - then I am confident that we can help you much better.

You could add the articulations to the template you use for creating new documents.
In that way you will automatically have the articulations in all new documents.

I've checked the page>format>score but nowhere is there a function to set all pages in that format. Re: Page format - score
NB:
The default formatting is document specific, not program specific.
It is possible to have different default formatting in different documents.
This is by design, and what users have requested.
To get the desired formatting in all new documents, use a custom template.

Then, when you selected the option {Keep moving the extr...
