Re: Ties
Welcome to the forum!
You need to be on the last tied note (= the note with an unwanted tie going to the right).
Then, in the entry tool’s menu, find the sub-menu with the menu item
Tie to next Note
(and memorize the keyboard shortcut shown in the sub-menu)

Re: Indicating Rasgueado
To avoid that Human Playback “sees” the #85 symbol from EngraverText, create the expression as a shape expression (not as a text expression). In the Expression Designer, go to Main > Shape > Create… You get to the Shape Designer which is a small (and old!) drawing environment inside Finale. Use the ...

Re: Indicating Rasgueado
Are you using the Articulation Tool? Text fonts have the character {uppercase U} located in font slot #85. The playback effect is due to the way Human Playback interprets font characters in music notation. In music fonts (like e. g. the Maestro font) the fermata symbol is located in font slot #85. H...

Re: Aligning metronome marking (note and numbers) with tempo text
Let me guess: You are using the tempo expressions from the Default Document - right? For the tempo text you are using the text font Times New Roman - right? And for the note symbol you are using the Expression Designer’s pop up menu Insert Note - right? As Far As I Can Tell, the text and the numbers...

… with a rest as the notehead, you're constrained where you want the rest to appear vertically. Not true. In the dialog box Notehead Settings there is an option for for {Allow Vertical Positioning}. Re: still confounded -measure regions
… region 3 is showing meas. 35 at the beginning. Why? … Not true. It is movement 3 that shows meas. 35 at the beginning, not region 3. My guess is that each measure number region was supposed to cover one movement - right? Hence: 1. meas. 1-34, (display as 1-34) 2. meas. 35-121, (display as 1-87) 3...

Re: Rebeaming on a guitar part
… Yes, I found that it worked fine if I wrote all the 1/8th notes first and then added in the grace notes as 1/16th notes and then removed stems etc. The first time I wrote it in note order and I think I wrote the "grace" notes at 1/4 notes since for me they weren't actually grace notes. I think th...

Re: Rebeaming on a guitar part
This works for me:
First, enter all the 8th notes.
The 8th notes are beamed.
Next, use the Simple Entry Tool to add the grace notes via clicking in the staff.
The 8th notes will remain beamed when you click-enter the grace notes.

It can be done in this way:
Then, proceed as before, to get the layout without the notehead, but with the 8th rest.

It is time consuming, but it can be done.
Are you talking about primary beams (= 8th beams)?
- or secondary beams?
Take a look at the two attached PDF files.
If you have questions, let me know.

Re: problems with constructing guitar chord frames
To get a different fretboard diagram on the same chord suffix you need to duplicate the chord suffix. This is done in the Chord Suffix Selection - click the button Duplicate. FYI: Each chord suffix has 12 fretboard diagrams = one for each of the 12 possible transpositions. Example: For the suffix ma...

In the pane
Avoid Collision of:
de-select the check box
Hidden Notes
Would that work for you?

1) Articulations are document specific, not program specific.
From what template did you create your document ?
2) Looking in both the Articulation Selection and in the Symbol Selection (viewing the Broadway Copyist font) I can see the falls:

Re: Ties is not placed horizontally
Shinohara 1027,
1) I could be wrong, but As Far As I Know, ties really are drawn (i. e. ties are not font characters).
Hence a font change should not affect the tie contour.
2) This may be a stupid question, but have you examined the Vertical settings for ties ?
