Re: Hide Systems in a part

Welcome to the forum! Page Layout Tool. Page Layout menu > Avoid Margin Collisions (de-select) When the option {Avoid Margin Collisions} is de-selected, Finale allows negative values in the System Margins. Which means that you can freely position any system anywhere. If you have questions about this...

Re: HITS Below regular staff

… I tried a new staff style, I was on that first screen you posted same thing (same settings) but it does not work, it does not show rhythmic noteheads on any layer … As you can see, it does work in the Finale document I attached (which has Rhythmic Notation in Layer 1, not in Layer 2). * If you at...

Re: HITS Below regular staff

I looked in my archive of Finale solutions, and found these files (rhythmic notation above staff).

But perhaps this solution is only what you are doing already (= having to manually tweak tons of little options on tabs and menus) ?

Re: Reverse stem

To move a beam to the left:

1) You must be in the correct layer.

2) Special Tools Tool.
Sub-tool: Beam Extension Tool
Handles appear on the beam (if handles do not appear, click in the staff/measure).
Drag the handle to the left.

Here are two different solutions.

The first solution is more time consuming, but it is versatile, universal; you can do anything.

The second solution is faster, but it has limitations.

Re: How can I have two scores open at the same time?

I suspect that the problem is a Windows problem. Anyway, you do not have to have two Finale documents open at the same time. You can open one document, select the relevant region, and copy to the (Finale) Clipboard. Then, close the document, open the other document, select, and paste. Also, you can ...

Welcome to the forum!

1) You have posted in the forum for hardware issues, but I suspect that this issue is data specific. Read on:

2) Your example could be a (missing) .FAN file issue.
Check the .FAN files for the music font(s} used in the project.

Take a look in

I suspect file corruption.

Does it happen in all Finale documents - or only in some documents?

Could you attach here (for the gurus to examine) a Finale document with the problem?
