Re: Deleting multiple notes
Sorry everyone. I am using Finale 25. I just upgraded from PrintMusic and forgot to change my profile. DOH. Clear All deletes the repeats as well as the notes. I want to delete the notes and preserve the form. Select and then Clear Selected Items did the trick! I just needed to deselect the items th...

Re: Audio export countoff
@zuill thanks for your reply. I've tried suggestion 1. but in my particular case I need to print the score as well. Adding the percussion track makes this a bit cumbersome. Suggestion 2. I'm not sure how to do that. Can you be more specific as to how I would record the WAV in real time? Suggestion 3...

Deleting multiple notes
I must be overlooking something very basic. I do not see how to delete notes from a measure without deleting the entire measure. I would actually like to delete all the notes from the piece but leave the form (measures, repeats, etc.) intact. Is there a way to do this (without having to delete each ...

Audio export countoff
I've included a countoff in my piece but when I export audio, the countoff is missing from the WAV file. Is there a way to tell Finale that I would like the countoff to be included in the exported audio? Thanks.

cross talk on audio file panning
I've entered guitar duets in PM 2007. I pan the first guitar to the left and the second guitar to the right. When I playback in Windows Media Player and pan to the left, I can hear a trace of the second guitar from the right channel. I thought I had solved the problem by turning off reverb but I may...

Arpeggiate ALL chords
In PrintMusic 2007, I was just wondering if there is a way to apply arpeggiation to all chords in a piece at once. Basically I'm trying to define a style for playback of chords. Thanks for any advice on this.

Guitar Strum on playback
I don't see it in Human Playback but is there a way to simulate a guitar strum such that the notes in a chord sound like they are being "strummed" rather than played simultaneously? Thanks.

VSC
I have VSC-MP1 installed for Band-in-a-Box but I can't seem to get PM 2007 to recognize VSC. How do I get VSC to appear in the MIDI Out Device selection list? Thanks.

separate staves for teaching
I am trying to create 2 templates each with 4 separate staves. The first template would have 4 staves, each staff having four measures. The second template would have 4 staves, each staff having no measures (no barlines) and no time signature. I just can't seem to get a handle on this. Looked in the...

expression not playing back in MIDI file
I have entered a Ritard (from 72 bpm to 60 bpm) for the last measure of my piece. The Ritard plays back fine in PrintMusic bit when I save the file as a MIDI file, the Ritard is not playing back in the MIDI file. I used the expression tool to add the Ritard. Any ideas? Thanks.

Well, I guess I should have RTFM. Yes, layers is very cool! I've got three layers going for another piece right now. I have automatic note spacing turned on though and it seems to not understand the continuity of the different parts (layers) which makes the score difficult to read. I guess I'll need...

multiple parts on single staff
Would like to enter multiple parts on a single staff as shown in the image. Print Music 2007 does not let me do this even when I uncheck "Check for extra notes..." and "Fill with rests...". I am using the Simple entry method of entering notes. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

There is something called HyperScribe that allows one to define a recording tempo and click but I am entering the notes manually into the staff. If I could change the first measure to a different instrument, I could accomplish what I need but can't figure out how to do this. Your idea of adding anot...

count-in measure
I'm using PrintMusic 2007. My piece is for teaching purposes and I would like to have the first measure of the piece be a count-in measure using a click sound. Just a simple quarter note for each beat would be fine. I thought a patch change would do it, but can't find any info regarding patch change...
