Pickup Measures
I'm writing a minuet in 3/4 time and I created a pickup measure. The first measure has only one beat. At the end of the musical phrase, I need to "complete" the first measure by having the last measure only two beats long. Is there a way to create a "pickup end" measure? If you had trouble understan...

Re: Changing Above Trill Note
No, I use Finale PrintMusic 2010, and I don't see a natural trill anywhere.Peter Thomsen wrote:Are you using PrintMusic 2009?

I have noticed that whenever the first measure is a pickup measure, it skips a few beats when it repeats. So if your song is in 4/4 time, and your pickup measure is 2 beats, when it repeats from a repeat sign, it will insert a 2 beat rest (thinking it's a 4/4 measure). I don't know why it does that....

Changing Above Trill Note
Is it possible to natural the note above the note I want to trill? For example, in the key of G, if I trilled the E note, could I trill using Natural F instead of Sharped F?

Far 3 Piano Keys
This really isnt much of a finale question, but on a Grand Piano, why are there an extra 3 keys on the far left side?

Oh thanks a lot guys! I didn't even know those existed. I am trying to recreate other people's music, so how exactly would I go about creating the "x" before a note? I messed around with it and I changed a double sharped C into a D by pressing "9", but when I pressed "9" again, it changed it to a do...

"x" Accidental
I've sometimes come across an "X" accidental when altering music. Whenever I change a sheet of music from one key to another, some notes will create this "x" before it. Why does it do that and how do I get rid of it while keeping the origional note? I've noticed that some other online music that I'v...

Re: Connecting two voices
YES!! That's exactly what I mean! Is it possible to do that in Printmusic?Peter Thomsen wrote:I could be wrong here, but I think that you by the word "bar" mean "beam" (not "measure").
Tak a look at the attached image.
Is this what you mean?

I'm talking about two different layers sharing the same bar and/or stem. I'm trying to create a triplet bar. The first layer containing a Quarter Note connecting with the second layer containing two Eighth Notes. It's kind of hard to imagine, but imagine a Quarter Note with the stem down and a stem ...

Grace Notes
Hi, I'm using Finale Songwriter 2007a (a full 30 day trial version). And I cannot figure out how to place grace notes into my music.
