I don't know printmusic, but if you're a registered user, you might try MakeMusic technical support, at _ _ _Support@makemusic.com. Place your computer type, (WIN for PC's, MAC for Apple) in the three blanks, without any spaces between them.

There is an alternative approach which might be useful in some instances: instead of increasing the number of MIDI channels, use staff styles, or define playback espressions to obtain some effects. Make certain in your postscript printer driver, you find the option for including fonts, and choose the option to always include fonts. If you're on windows, go to the printers folder, right-click on the PS driver, and look for fonts.
