Hi Peter, thank you for your reply. I opened the menu but I could not see the option to change the groups of the top staff and bottom staff. I tried to change some combinations in the menu but without success. I don't know why this happens because I have several parts where this problem doesn't occur.

Now I understood. I was choosing the last option in Documents menu "Document Options... and then selecting "Layers" and trying to find this command in Layers.

I use Mac Finale v. 25.5 and I can't change the size of the notes in one layer without affecting other layers in the same measure. What adjustments do I have to make on the other layers, as the example in fig. 1, to decrease the red notes in layer 2, without affecting the black notes in layer 1?

I'm using Finale for Mac v. 25.5.

In a measure (fig. 1) with notation in Layer 1 and Layer 2, how can I scale down the size of the noteheads in Layer 2 only? When I select the measure and Layer 2 and choose Utilities>Change>Noteheads and then type a value, the noteheads in Layer 1 scale down too.
What am I doing wrong?

I still use Finale 2012 on my Mac Mini running El Capitan, and the only problem I have is that I cannot use Human Playback. As I would like to update my OS to Catalina, I ask if I will have no problem to run this version of Finale in Catalina. Anyone knows?

Sometimes when I try to put a Repeat sign in a measure in a system with two lines for example, I see the correct repeat sign from top to bottom, but in the bottom measure appears a single line repeat superimposed, as shown in the attached figure. How an I avoid this?
