How to transfer Meta Tools to another computer
Like many of you, I have multiple computers I work off of.
I'd like to take my programmed shortcuts/FinaleScripts I programmed and move them to my other computer.
How do I accomplish this?

Re: Vertical position of root note in slash chords
I use Left Align Chord Symbols so have the slash chords appear "after root" tends to clog up the measures visually.

Re: Vertical position of root note in slash chords
How about this? I used the Smart Shape line, positioned it under the top chord symbol, then added the bottom chord symbol, and repositioned manually. What are you using Numbers instead of the usual Chord Symbols? thats an option. re: Nashville. I rarely EVER do Nashville charts ... this just happen...

Vertical position of root note in slash chords
I'm attempting to reposition the look of slash chords. The bar/slash separator between the prefix and root (bass) note is too far up vertically. This is what it looks like. Screen Shot 2018-07-29 at 1.27.15 PM.png I'd like to clean this up so the slash is lower and splitting the difference between t...

Re: How to keep staff styles from Scroll to Page View
When I open up a new document from my templates, it opens in scroll view. Whenever I change any staff styles and then move to Page View, the staff styles aren't the same. I always have to, in Scroll View, choose the Staff Tool and SELECT ALL then right click and select USE STAFF STYLES FOR PARTS AND...

How to keep staff styles from Scroll to Page View
I've been working with Finale for quite some time. I've always done things this way ... I'll do all my work in Scroll View and then move to Page View to finalize the layout. I've always noticed that before moving to Page View, I have to select the Staff Tool, Select ALL, and then right click and sel...

Re: Print Margins not looking correct for PDF
This did work, however, it only does one part at a time and it won’t allow me to print Display Colors (which I use).
The margins were correct when I used this procedure.

Re: Print Margins not looking correct for PDF
Doing some research I found this https://makemusic.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/220110527-Finale-25-Page-Margin-Discrepancies-When-Printing Customer service said Thanks for contacting MakeMusic Customer Success. I can certainly help you with that. What we have found is that Sierra is imposin...

Print Margins not looking correct for PDF
Mac. Finale V25.5 I have my Page Margins set to .5 inches on all sides. When I print my charts, I select "PRINT", then SAVE AS PDF. It looks as if the top Margin isn't set to .5 inches and the bottom text (which is set right at the margin) is really close to the bottom of the page. I'll upload the F...

Re: How to create Rehearsal Mark for only specific staves
… Issue is, all the rehearsal marks in the Expression Dialogue are assigned to Score Lists and I can't just add the measure marker to any given staff I want to like I can with other expressions that aren't in a category with score lists … Why can you not “just add the measure marker to any given st...

Re: How to create Rehearsal Mark for only specific staves
Thanks for the reply. I already have Multimeasure rests displaying measure numbers. I'm creating live band charts so I'm doing something a little bit unconventional in wanting to add a measure marker after a long rest or long section of repeated measures like so (pictured). Issue is, all the rehears...

How to create Rehearsal Mark for only specific staves
I'm trying to create a rehearsal mark with a Metatool "M"....which I've successfully done. But, within the Rehearsal Marks categories, the staff lists appears and I'm not able to put the Rehearsal Mark on only the staff I want it on...its only placing it on the pre-defined staves within the Staff Li...

Re: FinaleScript Greyed out
ah...so FinaleScript is obsolete when editing a part? That seems a bit odd. When I'm in scroll view editing a part (not the score), FinaleScript works. When I switch to Page View editing the part, FinaleScript doesnt work. Then I go back to Scroll View and its all of a sudden greyed out again. So th...

FinaleScript Greyed out
I just started using FinaleScript and created some keyboard shortcuts. What a great time saver. I've noticed that sometimes its available and sometimes not. When in Page View, all the FinaleScript menu items are most often greyed out and therefore unavailable. I'll switch to Scroll View and sometime...

Re: Measure Number Region Starting Number not changing
I figured a work around. Somehow the REAL measure numbers were being redefined by the alternate measure numbers I was adding in each region. Took some time but I got it to work.

Measure Number Region Starting Number not changing
I'm adding 3 regions of measure numbers.
The Region 3 starting number is supposed to be measure 23. But as you can see, it reads "Display As: '40-999'".
No matter what I do, the Display As won't change when I enter in the starting number that I want.
Any help is appreciated. Screenshot attached

Re: Setting Midi Note On value to drum charts
correct. I was confusing the two.
Is there anyway to tell Finale to set Velocities upon note entry? When I'm making charts, it would just be easier to be able to have the drums be audible upon playback rather than having to select all notes and then change their velocity value.
thanks!

Setting Midi Note On value to drum charts
When I charting drums, I can barely hear playback. I'm seeing in the percussion midi values that they're all around 36 to 47. I clicked on the Midi tool, select all, key velocities, set to (100) and nothing changed. How do I change the note on velocities to my percussion/drum charts. Also, how do I ...

Re: Spacing Staves Equally...a mess
I think I'm starting to figure it out.
I'm finally able to spend some time learning the formatting and am getting the hang of it.
There's so many options that it takes a minute for me to wrap my head around how to do what I want to do but hopefully I'm on the right track.

Re: Spacing Staves Equally...a mess
Almost all my charts aren't perfectly spaced ... I just had uploaded a random chart.
Heres the chart from where the first screenshot came from.
You'll see the bad staff spacing when you go to Page View and see the individual parts. (Concert, Guitar, Drums, et al.)
