SWING TEMPO IN REG PLAYBACK VS QUEUE PLAYBACK
I'm arranging a vocal piece, and I want a swing feel for the playback (I've arranged other pieces with a swing feel and never had this problem). The issue is, when I use the "Queue Playback" (Alt + Spacebar) it sounds GREAT--the swing tempo is perfect and very smooth. But when I use the standard "PL...

Re: UNWANTED RITARDANDO IN EVERY MEASURE
Thank you! I was hoping it would be something as simple as that--but I'm a relative novice.
Much gratitude to you and this Forum!

UNWANTED RITARDANDO IN EVERY MEASURE
Finale 2014.5.6359 Windows 7 Pro 64 Bit i7-2600K CPU, 3.40 Gz 20 G RAM I'm having a strange problem with my Human playback. My file is set with a default tempo of 85, and when I set Human Playback to "Standard" it plays every measure with a slight ritardando toward the end (and then begins the next ...

Re: PLAYBACK BUG IN FINALE 2012
Sounds like we have the same exact issue--I also upgraded back in April from PM (took advantage of the $99 deal)! I imagine you're right about it being some sort of buffer issue. Doesn't happen all the time but sure is frustrating when it does. Slows the work down! Thanks for the input--helps to kno...

Finale 2012 Windows XP Pro SP 3 Intel(R) Core(TM)i7-2600K CPU @ 3.4 GHz, 4 Core(s), 4.0 GB Realtek Hi-Def sound card Often when I start the playback--especially in the middle of the piece--at some point during the playback it starts playing back another section in the piece, overlapping the two. Yeah, that's what I feared. Thanks.Peter Thomsen wrote:No, not in 2011.
You will need "the full Finale 2011" to do so.

Optimizing Staff Systems in FPM 2011
I have a SATB arrangement where each part enters verse by verse (1st to sing is the alto, then the soprano joins her, then the bass, then tenor). All parts are singing at the 4th verse--but is it possible to hide the blank staves until each part comes in? Is this feature available in FPM? Hopeful, C...

HELP! NO MIDI IN SIGNAL!
Hoping someone can steer me in the right direction. I am able to perform simple entry and PM plays the sound; I can play the arrangement and PM plays (all) sounds correctly, but when I use my Roland keyboard/controller for speedy entry, no sound plays and no note is entered into the score. My MIDI i...

Selective Human Playback
Hi there, I'm writing an a Capella SATB arrangement, and want to be able to export an accurate MP3 file for those in the group who are not sight-readers. In this particular arrangement I want the bass part to be played back (and sung) in a swing tempo--so I only have to write eighth notes, rather th...

Ties vs. Smartshapes in playback
This forum as awesome, BTW. Here's my situation: I'm using PM 2011 to write a SATB arrangement for a group of singers who are not all sight-readers (so I always supply them with an audio file of the arrangement along with the sheet music). I have written vocal riffs comprised of notes that should be...

Alternate notes sizes.
I'm arranging a song in Print Music 2011 that allows for some improvisation, depending on the prowess of the singer. I've written some alternate "suggested" rifs that the vocalist might use, and placed them on layer 2. Is there a way, in Print Music, to make the alternate notes on that layer smaller...
