Re: Music spacing across barlines - how to configure?
mainterm, The better we understand, the better we can help. Could you perhaps explain, (exactly) what you are trying to do, and why ? [...] Thank you Peter for your reply. I'll start with the why - I was re-reading MPA's 1993 SOP on engraving practice and twigged this this: Screen Shot 2019-01-08 a...

Re: Music spacing across barlines - how to configure?
thank you motet. And I appreciate your response Peter - I think my question wasn't detailed enough. I'm aiming at something a little different than your answer provided. ... So one obvious play was to use the setting motet shared and eliminate extra spacing (0 and 0). This appears to be perhaps more...

Music spacing across barlines - how to configure?
Hello experts!
I'm trying to find a setting which allows me to systematically adjust the amount of space which occurs between notes across a barline. Finale appears to assign a buffer to the barline or some kind of offset and I cannot find a way to adjust it.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Re: Characterset issues with Postscript
I am using the save as PS in mac print dialog. I'm opening the ps file in Illustrator CS3 - this appears to be the issue. I updated the fontpack just in case - although I'm fairly certain that was already up to date. Characters render as PS correctly in preview app. This is a bummer - can't really a...

Re: entering triplets
This is above my pay-grade, but I can add that I just entered what you described without any problem. Just straight forward note entry and it was fine. I'm on MacOS, finale 25.5.
Good luck!

Characterset issues with Postscript
When I print to postscript my sixteenth note rests convert into sharp symbols. Any thoughts?

Beam over Barline Problem
Finale version: 25.4.1.164 Mac OS 10.12.6 I have a scenario in 5/8 where I want to extend a beam across the barline to a tied note in the second measure. I'm using the out of the box plug-in to do this and it works insofar as the beaming goes. However, the tie moves into an incorrect position. This ...

Re: Request for professional advice/resources: re-engraving
Thanks for the reply. I'm using finale and am proficient enough with it to produce a reasonably professional looking layout/engraving. The question isn't directly related to how to do this in finale, but rather some guidelines for re-engraving practices generally. I thought there may be people out h...

Request for professional advice/resources: re-engraving
I am completely new to this forum. My apologies if this is not the proper context in which to ask this question, but my assumption is that I might find some direction from users of this forum. Specifically, I am re-engraving an 1818 Artaria edition (Vienna) written for voice, guitar or piano-forte. ...
