Re: Audio Engine Error
Thank you for your reply! Ok, I'll certainly wait more. I would be curious to hear their suggestion. So I didn't really solve the issue on my own, but maybe downloading updates on my computer was the trick. Have a great day! Scott.

Re: Audio Engine Error
I am....but funny, in the last 60 seconds, I tried opening Finale, and the message is now gone!! I did install some new updates this evening, so maybe something fixed it during the process. I guess I'm now good to go!

Re: Audio Engine Error
Unfortunately there's no option in my version related to Rewire. I did message Finale about it, but it's been about 4 days, so I'll give it a little more time. Thank you for taking the time to respond!

Audio Engine Error
Dear Finale users, I know this topic has been discussed already, but I haven't been able to solve my issue from past posts here in the forum. I'm currently using Finale version 26. I have Windows 10 on a new desktop computer. Out of the blue, whenever I start Finale, I get the window that says "Audi...

Re: Tablature issue
Thank you for your suggestions! I selected the measure, and transposed it. It worked! But weird, I've never experienced that before. I hope it doesn't happen again.

Tablature issue
Dear friends, Today I became perplexed as to why my tablature staff produced negative numbers for only one specific measure. I set the tab staff for a guitar that was tuned this way: (going low to high) DGDGBE, like a G tuning for an original song I wrote. I got through 21 measures no problem, and w...

Adding tab staves to a score
Good day friends! I just purchased Finale 26 after having Finale 2011. It appears the steps to add a tablature staff seem different than from using 2011 version. I would typically score a piece for guitar in standard notation until completion, then click the Staff Tool, and go the "Staff" tab, and t...

Re: Guitar tablature not recognizing proper octave
I think I know what I did wrong....when I created the file originally, I don't think I set it up as a guitar file. Is there a way to change the file to guitar?

Guitar tablature not recognizing proper octave
Good day Finale friends! Recently I had to load Finale 2011 into my other laptop because my old one died. I created a default document like I did before, and began scoring a piece for solo guitar. When I started to establish the tablature staff, I dropped the notes into the tab staff, and like usual...

Re: Creating text spacing within lyrics
Thank you for your reply! I'm using Times New Roman, and the font size is 10. I had trouble uploading a screen shot, every time I tried, the pixel ratios weren't right, or the file was too big. I hope the information I provided helps!

Creating text spacing within lyrics
Good day,
I'm writing lyrics in a song using Finale 2011 on Windows 7. For example, the word "burn" is used, but the r is so close to the n that it now looks like an m. Is there anyway to create more spacing between text? Thank you, Scott.

Re: Organizing beats in measures
Thank you all for your replies. Yes, I do agree with you that the bass staff should align with the treble. It's kind of a long story, so I'll try to make it brief. I had a vocal line and a bass staff, but the author of the music decided to have the bass parts separated from the vocals. I'm making a ...

Organizing beats in measures
Good day friends, My obstacle today, is this. I've created a vocal melody on one staff, and a bass staff underneath. When I add the bass notes, they are aligning with the beats from the vocal line, which makes the bass notes look a bit unnatural in their position. I'm on Finale 2011 and my operating...

Creating multiple measures within a measure
Good day, I'm looking to find a way to create 14 measures of silence within one measure in a transcription I'm working on. One measure needs to have the number 14 above it, the symbol for repeating measures, and then to make sure that continued measure count is accurate. I've included a picture for ...

Scanning a PDF into Finale
I have a PDF of classical guitar music I would like to scan into Finale. I'm guessing Finale can generate a .MUS file based on the PDF? If so, could someone assist me in completing this task? Thank you! Scott

How to notate a triplet within a quarter not triplet
Good day all! (I'm currently using Finale 2011 on Windows 7). I'm trying to notate a 16th note triplet on the third beat of a quarter note triplet. The song is in 4/4. When I attempt this, I end up with a 32th rest after the triplet. I thought theoretically the 16th note triplet is accurate, maybe n...

adjusting the attack with cello in Garritan Aria Player
Today I'm arranging a cello part to go with guitar. When the cello plays 8th notes, the attack seems delayed, making it sound as if the cello is not playing on the beat. I understand why there's a slight lag in the attack, in order to make the sound of the cello more "real", but there has to be a wa...
