Yeah Peter! I didn't even think of that... I was so in a hurry I forgot to see if it was plugged in!

I think I figured out my problem. The default file that I was saving was named "Maestro Font Default.musx. That was for older versions and I was wrong in naming it that. It should have named it "Finale Maestro Font Default.musx".

Hey Peter' I'm trying to design my own "Maestro Font Default" page and the changes I make don't stay. I'm using Finale 27.4.1 on a Mac Pro.
I installed Finale 27 but it won't hold on to the changes I make to the default page. I tried support but they had me do a re-install and every time I answered them they would say that they can't see my previous responses.
Any ideas are welcomed.

I'm reading about dissatisfaction when putting "27" and "Big Sur" together. So, Is this true? Should I stay with "26"?

I think because of all that I have been reading as of lately I will hold off on upgrading from 26 to 27.

Yes I did, and thank you very much motet!

It will copy a dotted 8th note and subdivide it into a 8th note tied to a 16th note when you paste it.

When I drag or copy a measure (or part of it), Finale subdivides the rhythms. How can I stop this?

Hi Everyone,
Well, MakeMusic figured out that the reason I couldn't import XML files was because the first measure of my Custom default file was corrupted.

Easy fix and sometimes it just takes time to figure things out.

I trashed the User Directory twice on my main computer as per their instructions and right now it's importing XML files without any problems, but I did the same on my Mini but it's still not working. The said that they have never seen this before

Hey Mike, As of today they're still trying to figure it out. Since then I've installed 26 on my Mini and I get the same response. Now, If I export an MXL file from 2012 it will import into 2012 but not 25 or 26, and that's on both computers. It's crazy. Hopefully soon they will figure out the proble...

Does anyone know of anything that will convert a pdf. file into a mxl. file to import into Finale? I've tried Smartscore, and Photoscore but the files sometimes don't work. I'm looking for an alternative.

Thanks, that worked really nice but the chords are out of place, and I did fix them like you suggested earlier in the process. Is there anything I can do about that other than manually fix them again?

That's what I need done. The whole score needs to be changed in that way.
