Re: Setting shortcuts to open miditools and apply human play
Good stuff. With the shortcuts, particularly the macros, I'm all set.

Re: Setting shortcuts to open miditools and apply human play
I mean 'Midi Tool' only appears in the menu bar as a drop down after you click on the midi tool icon. Is there any way to lock it there in the menu permanently?

Re: Setting shortcuts to open miditools and apply human play
On Windows, select a tool and press shift+any of the keys f2 to f12 to program a shortcut to the selected tool. Then just press the assigned f key. (On my PC f10 and f12 do not work - I don't know why, but it doesn't matter. 9 keys are enough for me.) Thanks. F1 launches online help for me. The key...

Re: Setting shortcuts to open miditools and apply human play
On Windows, Alt-D will pull down the MIDI/Audio menu, if that's what you mean. That's what the underlined letters in the menu bar mean. Check out Plug-ins/TGTools/Menu shortcuts. You can program hotkeys to pretty much do anything with menus and submenus. The problem is the Midi Menu disappears when...

Setting shortcuts to open miditools and apply human playback
Hi, I'd like to know how to program two keyboard shortcuts in finale windows version: one to open the midi tools menu, and another just to directly apply human playback (one of the options in that menu) In a related question, on Macs its possible to press Command+Option+ (F,G,H,I,J,.K,L, or ;) to pr...

Midi and speedy entry
Hi, I have a couple of questions: 1)Sometimes when Im entering notes in Speedy entry mode, I press a number to put in a rest and a note enters instead. Sometimes two notes are entered even. I turn off the keyboard to ensure that it is sending no midi signals but it still happens. I am resolving it b...

non-destructive pasting
Hi,
I would like to paste some notes non-destructively. For example, copy notes or percussion from one bar and put them over the top of the notes/percussion in another bar without destroying the notes already there, which is what the normal paste does. How can I do this?
Thanks.

Re: staves, shorcuts
Sorry, I thought that stuff would come up automatically once I put it in my profile.
I`m using the trial version on the PC, 2012. Im using synthsoft midi, and a midi keyboard for entry.
Audio is through primary sound driver, I am also trying with the sound card of the keyboard as the driver.

staves, shorcuts
Hi, I have three noob questions. 1) I would like to place some percussion notes on stave which is for the bass. Instead of making another separate stave for the percussion, in the few places the percussion notes occur, I would like to put percussion symbols right there on the bass stave, 'in amongst...
