I've manually set the measure numbering in part to show on every system and set the font and it works for all bar numbers except the first ones on each system. Does anyone know why and how to change it?

Regarding names my plan is to only have group names, so I'm getting rid of the staff names.

Also when I get to the menu, everything in Inserts is greyed out.

I'm trying to make a new expression (as I've done many times) but I can't type 'm' with the same font as it is written in mezzo forte fx to create a mezzo-sforzando.

I duplicated mf to try to do this.

Am I missing something or using the wrong font?

Is there a way to have Finale space systems evenly but without going further down than the margins or page edge?

How do I position gradual and sudden dynamics so that the ppp and p lign up under a note but then also that the hairpins start and end next to the p's. At this point it seems like the hairpins snaps to either beat so that it is either a beat off or right on top of the p. Skærmbillede 2019-04-17 07.5...

Also, Vln1 didn't show any instrument name - even though it's there in the score manager. Vln2 however has instrument name on each system. Is there a way to set this?

I'm doing a string ensemble piece and with Vln I the time signature showed up huge like in the score, but then in Vln II it didn't show up at all? I had to reset the size manually for I but I can't figure out how to get it to show in II.

ok, got that working now - except it's only solo strings. Can this be defaulted since making these changes at the beginning of each project seems cumbersome.

I have the full Finale. It was a download though. Garritan doesn't show up in the list of plug-ins.

Should add that in the Scoremanager when I edit the instrument for playback of one instrument, all instruments change

Redraw screen and Update layout does not affect anything.

All my Finale fonts are installed on the computer, so I can write with them in Office and therefore it is not likely to be a Mac OSX problem.
